Noosa and Surfing

After Carnarvon we met up with Michelle and Charles in Noosa. We spent our weekend on the beach. It was extremely busy because it was Easter weekend. Bren and I took a surfing lesson on Friday morning and then we rented boards again on Sunday. We walked through the National Park on the coast and were lucky enough to see two koalas way up in the trees....pretty cool. We are now back in Noosa after our week at Fraser Island (we will post this trip soon). We are off to New Zealand on Monday morning...YAH!

Noosa Main Beach.

Many surfers at tea tree bay...always fun to watch.

Here is when we rented some surf boards. Pictures of Brendon will be posted soon as they are on Michelle's camera. But he was way better than me....a natural surfer!

Here I am....yes I know the wave looks very small....but I am standing!

Carnarvon Gorge

Sorry it has been a little while since we have updated the blog. It feels like we have done so much since we left Emerald but have little chance to be on the internet. The first four days were spent at Carnarvon Gorge National Park about 2.5 hours south of Emerald. Our first night was a 10 km hike to our site at the end of the gorge. We did probabaly over 30km of hiking over the four days. The main gorge track follows the Carnarvon creek and so as your are walking you cross the creek numerous times. The walk was quite flat and so not too hard with our gear and the trees/vegetation was beautifully green.
