Scotland!

By: Brendon
We didn't get to do Scotland as well as we'd have liked but we did have a great time. We spent a night in Glasgow before heading to Edinburgh. In Edinburgh we only had a day to do everything so we decided to do the biggest tourist attraction...Edinburgh Castle. We also just walked around the city enjoying the sights.
The next day we were getting on a 3 day tour of the Highlands. The tour was really great and we had some good weather. The first day was a great rainy day but the other 2 days were pretty good. The scenery here is amazing and here are some pics. Sorry for being so short but we are just looking forward to coming home and it's only a week until we're back.

Monument to William Wallace.

Doune Castle.

Hamesh the Hairy Coo.
Glencoe...Valley of Tears. Where the MacDonald Clan was masacred by the Campbell Clan.

Loch Garry...supposedly in the shape of Scotland.

Eilean Donan Castle.

Haggis...traditional Scottish dish. We tried some the first night of our tour.

Green hill by the ocean.

Ruined Castle on Loch Ness. I did see Nessy...just wait for the pic!!!

I have a nightie that I bought in Edinborough in 1975. It has kind of fallen apart but is still beautiful.

Thanks for the latest posting.
If you bring Nessie back we could let it loose in Ahmic to compete with the turtles and cormorants.
Haggis? Wow, you're really adventurous.
We're looking forward to your return on Friday.

Hi Kristin and Brendon,
Those pictures make me want to go to Scotland. I know some tunes about the Campbells and the MacDonalds. I won't play them when you return home. We are very excited for Friday.

It's going to be strange not checking your blog on a regular (read daily!) basis watching for new entries. You've had such an incredible 10 months which you will always remember no matter how much travelling you may do in the future. Welcome Home! Love Mum and Dad
