Switzerland!

Ok, well after our Oktoberfest time we had a bit of time to recoup in Zurich and that's about all we did there. After two nights we took the train to beautiful Lucerne. Our first day there was spent seeing the sights and we're glad we did because for the next two days the weather turned sour and we didn't feel like being outside. We did however go to a Picasso Exhibit which was pretty good. Before heading off to interlaken we also met up with a girl we had met in Australia who lives in Lucerne and were invited over to her house for a cheese fondue...Mmm good but very rich.
Next was Interlaken which both Kris and I loved. It's a small town between two lakes and surrounded by mountains on all sides. There was lots to do and we unfortunately couldn't do everything. The two big things we decided to do was a train trip up into the mountains to a viewing platform on Jungfrau (sounds like young frow) and Paragliding!!! The mountain is a Unesco world heritage site and with that comes a million tourists. It didn't matter though because it is absolutely beautiful up there. It's all glacier up there but we were hiking around in our t-shirts as it was really quite hot. I'll leave the rest up to the pictures we took (although we're only posting a few we took about 70).
Paragliding was also amaying and we took off from 800 metres higher than Interlaken and it took about 30 minutes to glide back down to earth. it was not scary at all and was actually quite relaxing! Definitely something I'd recommend doing!!!

Switzerland is beautiful - looks like a place where you simply cannot take a bad photo. So beautiful and so different to Thailand which was also beautiful. The Paragliding must have been incredible! Love Mum and Dad
I can't believe you went paragliding. It looks scary. How did you know how to land in the field? I think DAD bought a watch very near that bridge in Lucerne.

Thats so amazing...what a beautiful place. AND you went paragliding? I am so jealous. I can't wait to see all the pictures once you come home..if you ever want to come back to beautiful east end GTA.

Beautiful!! My friend and my self stayed in Interlaken as well, I loved it. I wonder if we stayed in the same hostel ? Looks like you two are still having the time of your lives!! Take care, see you soon ! Pam
The colours are so bright in all your photos!!! You'll have to get a mammoth photo album when you eventually print them all out : ) Emerald is starting to get hot here again - I reckon it's going to be a very hot summer.
