See ya AUS!
So we have spent the last 3 days in Brisbane organizing the next portions of our trip...booking hostels in Singapore, researching Eurorail vs. Busabout for Europe, booking hostels in Munich for Oktoberfest (we have not received a confirmation yet but are crossing our fingers!), deciding on which countries we want to see in Europe, extending our flights (our return is set for November 12 now), last minute souvenir shopping, closing our Australian bank accounts and of course enjoying our last couple of days in Australia.
We are both sad to leave Australia as we have become so familiar with the country but we are also really excited to be moving to a whole new continent. It's been a great experience and now it is time to move on!
We will be in Singapore for 5 nights and then will be moving up through Malaysia to Thailand. We have extended our time in south east asia so we now have around 6 weeks instead of 4...exciting! It will be the monsoon season in Thailand so hopefully we don't get too wet every day!
Anyway, I guess that is about it for now...just thought I'd keep you all updated on our whereabouts!

Can't wait to hear and see Singapore and Thailand. I just got caught up on the blog and the pictures of tropical Austrialia are amazing. Looks liek a great place to vacation. FYI I sent you guys an e-mail a couple of weeks ago but haven't heard back wasn't sure if it got through. I will write again when I get back from Halifax. Nora and I are going to Halifax for a week to visit her friend. Should be fun I will let you know how it went in an e-mail when I return.

It is so amazing to think that you are kind of seeing the world!!
When we did our huge trip in the '70's, we did 10 wks doing the circumference of the States - with a little Mexico thrown in, and 6 wks in England/Europe. It is unbelievable how times change. You are so lucky. - And so smart to do it at this stage of the game.
